just tried vinyl on my b pillars, proving much more difficult that i thought with regards to the tiny pathetic bubbles...any advice?

a friend of mine did his whole roof with this stuff, and said treat it like you would windown tint. spray soapy water onto it first. then lay the carbon vinyl on and squeege out the water. that might help??

I didn't have any problems with it, Did you buy the decent stuff? (Some types are better than others!) Use a credit card to smooth it down as you go. And a hairdryer helps mould the stuff to the right shape.

how can you tell its decent stuff? lol i just picked up some from ebay for £6 (1mx600) where did you get yours tim? (im talking about the black gloss btw, not carbon)

i tried the soapy water idea and it worked perfectly!

You preferably need 2 people. 1 person to heat up the vinyl and one person to apply. Easy as anything then!

Ah I thought you meant the carbon fibre stuff. The decent CF stuff has a slight square uniform texture to the underside to prevent air bubbles. I'll find out about gloss black later this week as I'll be having a go!

im about to carbon wrap my wing mirrors, my polo is silver but the wing mirrors are black anyway because they havent been painted. im stuck between silver wrap or black wrap. any recommendations?
