Cambridge meet anyone?

Post by Nelson_Wilbury »

I've noticed that there seems to be allot of people from the Suffolk/Essex/Norfolk area popping up on the forum.

Would anyone be interested in coming to a Cambridge meet in the near future? I think Sunday 1st August seems a long enough time to get everything ready :)

2 possible locations:

* Duxford Airfield (and we can do some plane spotting while we're there! Only problem is entry prices may be steep). Good thing is plenty of parking space (barring theres not a display on), something to do if you get bored and quite a few resturants.

* Red Lion Pub: This is where uk-mkivs usually meet. About 5 miles from Duxford, extremelly easy to find. Plus a HUGE car park for photo oppurtunities :D Good grub too, uk-polos roast anyone! :P

So who would be up for it?

hi ya(first post wa-hoo!!) I live down the road from duxford in sawston-i recon the red lion would be better than the airfield as its free to park! i think they have a pool table too so maybe a little pool tournament could be done. but yeah i'm up for a meet as nothing ever seems to go on near me :(

OK Guys, a few members from the Cambridge area have either sold cars or no longer visit the site. So i'm either gonna try and do a tie-in with uk-mkivs or wait a while for some new members before we get a date.

Cheers

I think with the Polo show being so close it'd be best to wait until last September. How does September the 26th (Sunday) sound? :)

If nobody can make it to the Polo show I and hopefully a few others will be at the Northgate Volkswagen meet on the 12th August (Thursday evening)
