Montreals were offered as an option on the 9Ns and some 9N3s I believe, so you should be able to find some that will fit. That said, since those are from a different model, you'd need to confirm the offset etc to make sure they will fit properly.

would the ones from a mk4 golf fit a polo?

The PCD is the same (5x100), but I don't know about the offset. They probably will, but best to check before buying.

I put a set on my 9n3 tdi sport and not had any trouble. I did replace the tyres with 205/45/16's and its now lowered 35mm on eibach springs and again no problems. I didnt check the offset tbh.

thanks mate, i thought id just have a go and throw them on. turns out they are fine (im on a 1.2e)...gotta replace the tyres now, they came with 205/50s, next is lowering (not too much though :) )

Go with the same tyres i fitted and drop it 50mm. 35mm isn't really much tbh just depends how you want it to look.
