By the looks of it, it aint engaging properly, Is there some dirt of something in there blocking it, or could be a spring.

Hi,
thanks for your reply! i have checked and cleaned the area but still its doing the samething.

can it be a relay or do i need a complete new switch?

i went to a mechanic and he was about to close but had a quick look and he said it might be a switch :s

im not sure if he is right as the way he had a look was he was rushing. He just told me £140-150ish for labour and switch?

could that be possible?

If its the switch/stalk.

On ebay i found them for £25.99 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-POLO-LUPO-CADD ... 27b78429b9

Or there is 2nd hand ones. Not sure how much they are via VW or TPS.

If that is the prob you could fit that yourself , If you aint already get your self one of these.

So if what the mechanic is right you could prob say yourself £100.00 or more on doing it yourself and + you get the book which will help with other things to.

Its possibly the indicator relay, but id say its more likely to be the stalk
