Post by darrenpolo »

Hi does anyone know how to replace the h7 bulbs on a 6r gti? Do i have to take the who light unit out? A manual or step by step guide would be well handy!

Thanks Darren

H7 dipped and main but very basic models have h4 if h4 you will have only one light lense for headlamps. Its very very easy to change the bulbs open bonnet. Remove the two black torx screws from top of headlamp.then unplug the unit at the rear.put your hand at the back of the light and force it out towards u.dont he scared as it does unclip and once removed its so easy to do anything.it does tell u this in vw manual. Hope this helps

Yup v easy as stated by WhitePoloGTI, I replaced my STD halogen H7's with Osram Nightbreakers made a considerable difference and well worth £25 for a pair. Not as good as HIDs but much cheaper.
