Update * Fan Blower Stopped working *

Guys need advice. Being warm today, thought I'd put the A/C on in my GTI and once I increased the speed of the fan all of a sudden it stopped working
Checked the fuse which is 36 and it seems fine. Is this a blown resistor or the motor has packed up?

Well put a new resistor and no luck? New motor then?

Well stuck a multimeter on the fan motor connector and it was evident once the heater dial was switched on, power was going to this connector.
Does this mean it is the fan motor?
