1.0E Volkswagen Slowlo...

Post by Jake_polo »

New to the forum, thought i'd share the journey i've been on with my car and get some feedback.

shes a 1.0E bottom of the range 3 door with a mind boggling 50BHP and a top speed of 94mph. Managed to squeeze 102mph out of the beany little motor downhill, but it wasn't happy about it.

heres how it looked when i got it, pristine....

Image

then got some rims..

Image

few little mods, stripes, tights over back lights and side indicators and sprayed the badge black.

Image

went down hill from this point onwards really..... managed to bald my tyres nicely so off they came and steelies went back on

Image
Image

two crashes
-one into a grass verge mincing my front bumper, power steering, radiator.
-one into a curb on a wet, off camber roundabout, new track rod arm, anto roll bar and lower control arm....that was an interesting drive home....

i also managed to ruin my rear bumper by reversing into a concrete pyramid bollard and push it back about 10 foot before i noticed it was behind me....

so all in all a run of beginers bad luck to say the least. well, bad luck and driving like a c**t....

also managed to get clipped by a lorry pulling out of a lane...
Image

and offroading cant of helped much either..

took about an hour to get out of the hole it dug.

Great little car though given me some awsome times. Then got a job and thought enough of giving it abuse and began pampering it...

list of upgrades:-

Cades eros 15"
Nankang NS2 tires
Some ebay coilovers
Honeycomb grill
De-wipered
New chrome badge
Custom built subox
Two 6x9s on the bootshelf
Two 6x9s in the back
Re-covered headliner
Sprayed interior window beams, sun visors and tweeters
Sun strip
Various stickers

Little update

got my gti splitter and fly eye tint today, heres some pics

was suprised by the fly eye tint, i was expecting a rubbery film that was just tinted rather than what it actually is, not complaining though still looks pretty dope, well on the rears anyway, not overkeen on the repeaters...

Also got a few pics of my interior

Rear 6x9s, just some old freebees from a mate, need replacing!!

the wind deflectors? they slot into the seal at the top of the window and have got a sticky bit on either end, pretty tight fit though so they just sit there
