What are the ones like you can get off ebay which you plug into a laptop ?

Any one got/used one ? are they any good or just cheap and nasty.

Get a VAGCOM 409.1 lead off ebay mate

Cheers Mate, take I guess its best to get one with a cd-rom with it, how come they are so cheap on ebay I thought they would of cost a lot more.

Nah just get the lead, then download VCDS lite from ross-tech.com

They are cheap as its an older version

This one any good, only prob is it says - software does not come with license - Is that going to be a prob ?

Im actually buying this lead myself for my 6n2 polo,and going to download the free software,afaik you can read fault codes and reset them with the free version.

You can change select settings and clear fault codes.
