as far as i'm aware they should fit no problems... but may you may need to be careful with tyre sizes

if its a squareback at the back without arch mods, you will get away with 175/60sr13 with the wheels running an et of 38 (like the coupe) where as the coupe will take pretty much anything. couple of the guys on porka are on 195s

ive got some mk1 bbs' as well and theyve got an et33, plus i need longer wheel bolts and cant seem to find any, any where. keep being told that all vw's have same legnth wheel bolts, which would make sense, but they quite obviously dont.

if the et is 33 then they will need longer bolts, just explain that to whoever (pref not halfords)
check GSF or give them a ring on 0870 60 60 153 either that or find someone with ETKA

i tried GSF and he told me that all VW's have the same legnth bolts and that i need to try some sort of wheel specialist, havent got round to it yet but im guessing the bolts will be halfords style rubbish? need to find some one breaking a mk1

I think mercs have the same wheel bolts (M12x1.5 iirc) but are about a centimetre to half an inch longer. I know someone with those wheels and he used these bolts. Im sure Ive seen bolts on the GSF website that it says are longer. :?

I wasnt very clear then. He used some locking nuts (mcguard ones) that were also suitable for a merc. THe bolts he either got from a VAG dealer GSF or ECP
