US/JAP bump strips

Post by RS_GT »

So im after a US bump strip (without the plate recess) does anybody know if these came in the black textured type? i want to keep my black bump so getting them fiilled is out the question as they would have to smooth it down.

part number would be great :D

Considering the Polo was never made for the US market (or sold there) im afraid you will never find a US bump strip for it!

no the jap rear bumper has a small plate recess for the squarish jap plates, the front bump strip hasnt got the recess. i cant get mine smotthed though, because its the black textured strips, and its impossible to fill and keep it black textured plastic

You can finish the bumpstrip in a textured finished buddy....

Most bodyshops repair plastic bumpers then spray them to match the texture, it's clever paint it works like wrinkle finish and is all bitty.... Saves on new arches etc on cheap repairs.

Ask a body shop mate they will do it if they have a paint scheme that has the textured finish..

Il delete that off my want list then the bumper, as my private plate won't work on a square plate : ( ha.
