CENTRAL LOCKING PROBLEM

Post by Polo-ernator »

MY 6N2 POLO GTI LOCKS EVERYTIME WITHOUT FAIL, BUT NEVER OPENS AND SO I HAVE TO USE A KEY TO GET IN. THE CENTRAL LOCKING IS STANDARD AS FAR AS I KNOW.

IS THERE AN OBVIOUS FIX FOR THIS?

Does the locking pump sound like it takes extra long when attempting to lock/unlock your car ?.

CENTRAL LOCKING PROBLEM

As a start I'd check all the seals and linkages around the central locking pump sounds like it may be having trouble releasing or drawing in air

Open the boot and it behind the carpet on the right just be careful not to pull the leads off it.
