Oh dear oh dear oh dear....

Let's have a little listing in the format: [light function (car variation) = bulb type (socket type, if known)].
I've compiled this listing using the owner's manual, workshop manual and http://www.osram.de bulb selector.
All rights reversed. All errors deserved.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Front

- low/high beam (cars with entry-spec halogen headlights with one reflector only) = H4 60/55W (P43t)
- low beam (cars with double-optic halogen headlights with two reflectors; outer reflector) = H7 55W (PX26d)
- high beam (cars with double-optic halogen headlights with two reflectors; inner reflector) = H7 55W (PX26d)
- low/high beam (cars with bi-xenon headlights) = D3S 35W (PK32d-5)
- sidelight (cars with halogen headlights) = W5W (W2,1x9,5d)
- sidelight (cars with bi-xenon headlights) = LED -> bulbs not replaceable
- direction indicator (cars with halogen headlights) = PY21W (BAU15s)
- direction indicator (cars with bi-xenon headlights; up to 28.06.2010) = PSY24W silver
- direction indicator (cars with bi-xenon headlights; from 28.06.2010) = PY24W orange
- foglight angular (all except CrossPolo) = H8 35W (PGJ19-1)
- foglight round (CrossPolo) = HB4 51W
- DRL in the outer corners of foglights (cars with halogen headlights) = P21W (BA15s)
- DRL (cars with bi-xenon headlights) = LED -> bulbs not replaceable
- static cornering light (cars with bi-xenon headlights) = H7 55W (PX26d)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Side

- side repeater (in the doormirror) = LED -> bulb not replaceable

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rear

- rear sidelight = W5W (W2,1x9,5d)
- brakelight = P21W (BA15s)
- direction indicator = PY21W (BAU15s)
- rear foglight = H21W (BAY9s) halogen bulb
- reversing light = P21W (BA15s)
- licence plate light (cars with incandescent plate lights) = W5W (W2,1x9,5d)
- licence plate light (cars with LED plate lights) = LED -> bulbs not replaceable
- high-level brakelight = LED -> bulbs not replaceable

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hope this clears it up a little....
