Hi
just wondering if a 57 plate, 1.4 se polo is common to have quite load road noise in the car, specially at around 30mph?
Any body else suffering the same?
any feedback would be much appreciated

sounds obvious but what tyres have you got and are they at the right pressure?

Noise at a certain speed sounds like a shafted wheel bearing. I had a similar problem, a rumbling sound could be heard throughout, a rumble at 40 and a near roar at 80!

yea i ve checked the tyre pressure, and there cheap tyres to be honest.
I have nt got rumbling ben, its almost like a whistle of wind.

my drums went and made an annoying noise. does the sound get worse the faster you go or is it constant?

its as if when it gets to 30mph it goes away.
Took it to the garage yesterday, and they said it was a back wheel bearing. But they said not to change it yet because there's no play there yet and it's no ruffness there yet. To me, that sounds as if they are not sure either!
