If you are planning on doing all of those mods to it, you might as well go with a pd100! Easier to find and cheaper! Someone is selling a 1.9tdi with some of the mods you were talking about including pd150 turbo, pd160 intake, etc.. His for sale thread is entitled: Polo 9n3 1.9 TDI Sport (Leather + Sat Nav). Have a look

Na I defo want a 130 as I know you can get them up to 220. I was just wondering what exhaust systems people put on these as I cant seem to find a milltek and which intercoolers, remaps. My plan would be probably to get a Hybrid, Milltek and decat, PD150 injectors, Cupra intercooler and a Revo remap. am sure that would get me around that. Probably uprate the clutch, flywheel and maybe a diff. What do you think the figures would be after them upgrades?

The pd100 will make 220. The block is the same, the main differences are the map and the blower..,

Yeah spot on Keeno21, thats what I was trying to say (but didn't really get it across)! Same engine just different turbo and injectors and if you are planning on changing it all out then just use a pd100 as your base... I have a pd100 and looking to get it to 200bhp by next summer and have done A LOT of reading up on this so I kinda know what I am talking about

Sorry i didnt want to come across i knew more lol how sure are you about the differences? like is it only the turbo and injectors that are different? nothing else such as suspension, mounts, brakes as this could be a serious plan change lol

Thanks for the quick and useful responses

Oh no mate I didn't think you were suggesting that! I was just saying I have read up on this a lot! Yes I do believe these are the only differences! The intake might be larger and similar to that of the pd160 intake of the Skoda VRS's but in plain terms, those are the only differences! Suspensions will be the same and if you get a 1.9tdi Sport, it will come with the same suspension as a GTI, etc. Brakes are the same but if you are looking for that much power, you will want to definitely upgrade the brakes so they can cope with the increased power! I just bought some 312mm front brakes and some 286mm rear brakes of a mk5 golf gti and planning on fitting them in the near future! Hope this helps!

Right av spoke to my mate who owns a mapping company and he says the 130 and 150 have the same injectors so that would be a pointless mod to the 130. And he says the differences between the 100 and 130 are injectors, turbo/manifold (As they come as one) and intercooler. He also rekons they come with smaller brakes and the earylier ones come with only a 5 speed as to the 6 speed. Can you confirm about the brakes and gearbox

As mentioned earlier, the brakes are the same be it the pd100 or pd130 but you will have to change them if you are looking for that much power! Couldn't confirm about the gearbox but highly doubt it!

Right so this is how am going to sum it up.

If I was to get a PD100 I would put on a PD130 turbo/manifold, Injectors and a PD160 Intercooler on. Remap and exhaust system.

So really the only difference is the turbo/manifold and injectors as I would be upgrading the Intercooler anyways.

I feel a very hard decision coming alone.

Well if you only want a pd130 turbo then find a pd130 to buy but if you wanna put a pd150 turbo on, start with a pd100 as it would be a cheaper car to buy!

Aye, i was just thinking that plus I would be getting a better saving again cause if I got the 130 I would props change for the 150 anyways. My mate thinks hes got some data sheets to make sure the 100 and 130 have the same internal. And i forgot to mention cheaper insurance!

Thanks again youve opened a new door here :)
