Polo TDI 1.9 130 Owners
Re: Polo TDI 1.9 130 Owners
Or depending on budget get some updated injectors from America or a company called darkened developments.
The internals are different on a 100 to a 130
130 are good for 300hp were as the 100s are only 250 I believe.

Re: Polo TDI 1.9 130 Owners
Is is a big job to have them removed fitted ?
Re: Polo TDI 1.9 130 Owners
Internals? Yes look on Tdi owners club at some of the 300hp builds on there they show some serious work done in America I am just get some bits down ATM and have some problems but will explain in my own section once all is sorted

What internals are different? and where did you find this out if you dont mind me asking ?g__humm wrote:Or depending on budget get some updated injectors from America or a company called darkened developments.

Re: Polo TDI 1.9 130 Owners
Injectors are a 4/5 spanners in the hanyes manual so pretty difficult
Re: Polo TDI 1.9 130 Owners
Just found this http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.ph ... ht=105+130 quite abit difference in the internals think al stick to the 130.
Re: Polo TDI 1.9 130 Owners
pd130 turbo and 150 turbo are very similar...
Polo TDI 1.9 130 Owners
The differences in the internals will be negligible. I'd be more likely to spend and extra time and money on looking for a pd130 over a pd100 if it had forged rods and pistons compare to cast or something like that. As it is they are practically the same...

Yeah mate as soon as I seen they have different rods and pistons it was a no brainier. If VW don't think the rods and pistons arnt suitable for 130 there defiantly not suitable for what I have in mind.
Plus i like to have something no-one else has lol there's only 263 registered in the UK

It would defiantly be worth finding out why they've got different rods and pistons and what the differences are.
The other big consideration is that the extra £2k you'd spend to get a pd130 would buy a fair few engine parts...

Re: Polo TDI 1.9 130 Owners
IMO id wait and find the right gt mate iv got a pd100 myself and wish i had the gt its just a much nicer car better engine, smoother gearbox, bigger brakes (i think), interior and so on...
Re: Polo TDI 1.9 130 Owners
Yeah defo getting a 130 dont think its called a GT as its the 9n3 model. TBH I dont think the price between them is that big its just there's very little of them around. Can not wait to get one seems like a very helpful forum so I think you'll be hearing from me soon
. Anyone know if there's a bolt on exhaust system for these? or whether the ibiza FR or VRs milltek is a bolt on fit?
Re: Polo TDI 1.9 130 Owners
I have the vrs one with the tip changed to be hidden. Non resonated is still a standard sound until you boot it
Re: Polo TDI 1.9 130 Owners
So the milltek for the VRs is a standard fit?g__humm wrote:I have the vrs one with the tip changed to be hidden. Non resonated is still a standard sound until you boot it
