Was pointed in the direction of this forum by a friend..
Little bit about me... Im normally a Ford man by heart I have rebuilt my Current car Escort RS2000 4x4 and also my Show/Track car... Fiesta Turbo...
Im 25 Live in Bedfordshire, Work as a customer service rep for a roofing company, i also work sat's down a local bodyshop too. Im currently looking for a Polo 2000 / 2001 i think its a 6n2 (im still learning about all this) I have got a vison in my head how i want the car to look like... Looking at the 1.4 but unsure the differences between the 8v and 16v can any body help wiuth pros and cons...?

Yeah the Polo you’re looking for is MK5 6N2 Polo which were produced from 2000-2002.
There are 3 different variants on the 1.4 litre Petrol engine including the 1.4 8V with 60bhp, and there are two 16V models.
One has 75bhp (very common) and they also made a 1.4 16V with 100bhp but these are pretty rare.
There is of course the GTI which has the 1.6 125bhp lump and the 1.4TDI which has 75bhp & 144ft lbs of torque (very tuneable)
What plans have you got for one?
There are plenty of parts on the market to make the car look good but tuning & performance parts are relatively scarce.
