Rock hard as always with the old VW paint. I didn't polish too hard though so theres still a few light scratches but they're not very visible now - didn't fancy burning through to the undercoat thats white lol!!

I need to update this thread! lol

Fitted a new steering wheel today in any case to replace the massively worn one I had which had made a massive improvement

Also this week fitted a new set of clocks that actually count mileage, have a fully working MFA display and a working clock

All round goodness :)

Can't believe how many parts you have changed on this mk2 lol, must of been hanging when you got it....

It needed a lot of work!

£200 and that was it 8) So it made good economy to repair

Nice to see a car brought back from the dead :)

Lovely looking cars the MK2 Golfs, Volkswagen didnt really make another decent golf until the MK4 R32

How's the edition 30 going mate, have you made anymore changes to that?

Correction.. VW still hasnt made another decent golf since the MK2 Golf :lol:

I wouldn’t agree there mate the R32's are pretty special cars and the MK5 & MK6 GTI's are brilliant

Can’t beat the classic MK1 GTI but VW have redeemed themselves in recent years after some shocking Golf’s
