Hi all, just bought myself a 2000 1.4s 6n2 3 door with only 14000 mls on the clock, in mercato blue metalic. I'm very pleased with it except for the body roll. I do not like slowing down for bends. I previously had an '87 Audi 100 for 17 years & can say that it will easily out corner the polo! It was an incredible car,170000 mls & all that ever went wrong was the petrol pump, a relay in the fuse box, & a set of wheel brgs. It still has the original exaust system on it. It has been unused for 18 mnths due to illness and I decided to send it to the breakers and get something much smaller and more convenient, so here I am. Incidentally, if some one in the group wants it they can take it away for nothing provided it's done in the very near future. ( There is no tax or mot on it, but it drives perfectly and started first pull after being idle for the 18 months, how's that for vag reliability)?
Back to the present, I would like some feed back on the effect of my putting on a complete set of Koni Red springs & dampers, and if possible other set ups to consider, at no higher cost, as I've been out of work due to my illness for 3 years, "It's a bummer Buck". I've been considering adding foglights but am undecided on vw or some one elses. Finally, what do you think of the single cd players, for the beta gamma radios, which are on ebay at the moment. Rolo.
