VW Offering LED DRL Retrofit
VW Offering LED DRL Retrofit
VW have confirmed that the current Polo and Golf models can be retrofitted with LED DRL's as an alternative to the stupidly priced Bi-Xenon headlight factory option. Personally I can't wait for these and I think it's an extremely good shout by VW..

Why didn't they do a fog light replacement with the LED's built in, at least it would have looked OEM?AJ_7 wrote:VW have confirmed that the current Polo and Golf models can be retrofitted with LED DRL's as an alternative to the stupidly priced Bi-Xenon headlight factory option. Re: VW Offering LED DRL Retrofit
Well you would have thought that would have been a more viable option. I think the picture doesn't do them enough justice. The horrendous bodykit and the alloys (Not VW Alloys as far as I know) really don't make it look good. When more pictures and details are released I think it will look very good, but we'll have to see
Personally I'm very interested in these as I'm a massive fan of LED DRL's and I was almost convinced to opt for the £745 factory option just for them
Re: VW Offering LED DRL Retrofit
maybe worthwhile if it returns the headlights to normal xenons are worth the extra
Re: VW Offering LED DRL Retrofit
Someone locally had the equivalent golf kit fitted to their Mk6 GTI and it does look terrible. They cut into the front bumper and they whole thing just looks tacked on and nasty. I'd save the cash for the full headlight assy, or look on ebey.de:)

I have to say it screams "CHEAP RETRO FITTED LED DRLs"...

Same here. I'm going to give a few local dealers a ring next week to see if they have any information about prices and availability etc. I'll post back here if I find anything outjonnymagnum wrote:i have all ready rung my dealers in wigan yesterday, but as yet have no price and availability .i personally think they look smart i suppose everybody has individual taste,if any body doe know if there vw garage is doing them please let me know.
Re: VW Offering LED DRL Retrofit
Gave my local dealership a ring this morning. He checked on the parts database and he confirmed that they are in the pipeline just they haven't recieved any confirmation as to when. He then went on to ask if I have fog lights, to which I answered yes. Then he went on to explain they're currently only for the German market. Normally it hits the european market about a month after it lands on the German market so he informed me to ring back in a months time. Interesting question about the foggies, i'm presuming if you don't have fog lights then they are somewhat fitted into the fog light plate. Contemplating surrendering my fog lights and getting them fitted there instead
Please post if you hear anything about these!

The only picture seen of them so far is on a riced out Polo with an awful front skirt. On a standard Polo it'd look amazing, as on the golf below!

Re: VW Offering LED DRL Retrofit
Kufatec are offering the LED DRL Retrofit for the Golf MK6 for £251. Guessing the Polo will be soon
Re: VW Offering LED DRL Retrofit
When I contacted my dealer the first question he asked me was if my Polo had factory fitted fog lights, to which I answered yes. I'm presuming if you don't have fog lights then what you say might also be an option! I'd consider sacrificing my foggies for some LED DRLs fitted thereEdi30 wrote:Why didn't they do a fog light replacement with the LED's built in, at least it would have looked OEM?

What way would the lights be set up then...need to constantly have your fogs on?
