Re: Upgrade Bulbs
Seems like a nice plan. See the retro fitting DRL's...is that the proper ones or the ones above the fog lights? Would have loved the proper LED DRLs!

The ones above the fogs which VW will retrofit for you. I think they look nice, almost prefer them to the fairy light overpriced xenon option LED'sNeilMcConville wrote:Seems like a nice plan. Re: Upgrade Bulbs
Hmm, im not too fussed on them myself, rather just drive around with my side lights and fogs on
need to get springs soooonnn though!
Re: Upgrade Bulbs
Took a few pictures after giving the car a quick wash this evening. Although the images do look photoshopped I assure you I haven't modified them in anyway
Couldn't reccomended these bulbs enough for anyone who wants an upgrade from the OEM yellowy lights you'd expect to find on a city taxi that doesn't want to fit a HID kit. My phone isn't the best at taking photos hence the shady quality, my apologies

Re: Upgrade Bulbs
Dunno whether to just change bulbs or get the HID kit :/
Re: Upgrade Bulbs
That was my dilemma but thought i'd give the cheapest option a bash first and now I see there's no real need for a HID kit to be honest!!NeilMcConville wrote:Dunno whether to just change bulbs or get the HID kit :/

Re: Upgrade Bulbs
Really? I might just leave my lights for a while yet, not in a big hurry to change them

Re: Upgrade Bulbs

Damn it, they need to bring out a Haynes manual for this car lol

Re: Upgrade Bulbs
Dead easy to fit in these cars. Theres only two bolts on top of the headlight holding it in place. Remove these and pull the headlight forward and it come off, giving easy access to swop bulbs in and out
I fitted my HID kit in bout 10 minutes

Also I see you're from Bacup - not so far from my mum and dad's where I'm headed this weekend - Darwen
Re: Upgrade Bulbs
Aye over blackburn way
I know of it haha. And yeah, honestly dead easy. I dont think some people realise that the headlights come out so easy lol. The only fidily bit is the stupid metal clips that hold the bulb inside the headlamp, but am sure you'll figure it out
haha
