Help Please!

For a couple of weeks my GTI has been clunking or knocking under certain situations i.e braking or going over some bumps.... i suspected this was wishbone bushes?

Last night it rained heavily and the car began to squeek under deacceleration and going over bumps.. is that the wishbone rubber getting wet and flexing?... surely it shouldnt be squeeking loudly like it was.


Also my car is nearing 60k and the inspection has come on, is this just a general oil change and filters or something more drastic like water pump etc? does anyone have a service schedule!

Look in your service book, it will tell you the service schedule. If your car is clunking and squeaking then take it to a garage!

i would have said wishbone issues,

but they dont normally wear evenly so if one side sounds prodominently worse than the other that its more like to be the case,

I believe 60k is cambelt and I'd advise having pump done at the sme time along with the usual filters an stuff. Well worth the money

Rain has stopped and so has the squealing must be the wishbone bushes...

It's had a cambelt done so was just wondering if there was a normal service like plugs and brake fluid etc?
