I think you might of been too impatient ;) vcds is the best way though. Glad you're sorted mate :)

:D yeh mate....I am very fusy when it comes to cars and how it runs etc......

Although I am not sure if the throttle alignment has solved it as I havent started the car as yet. Just wanna let it cool down properly and then
start her up when she is at high revs. This technique is probably meaningless but just wanna make sure the hesitation is gone :)

Btw looking at the video in my previous post, can you tell me it was the correct technique??????

A man why did i move the butterfly valve :( nobody warned me about that :roll:

During cold starts the car always had high revs but and you can hear the revs settling down after 1 min from start. When it is settling down, the engine feels hesistant and the whole car shakes if u know what i mean? Once the revs calm down, the idle is smooth
I did warn you! Lolz I said disconnect the electric solenoid for the throttle flap. I think you have been to quick to start the car as others have said. I've cleaned my throttle body and had 0 problems.

Yes! :D I read back and noticed it lol silly me...... Although I must add I left the car on ACC for 5mins and then started the car. But I probably was impatient to get the throttle body cleaned. :roll:
Remove intercooler to TB hose. Remove solenoid motor at the back of the throttle body ( so you dot damage motor when moving throttle flap) I think this is held with a clip, I'm sure you could figure it out by looking at it.
Anyways good news started the car this morning and it wasnt being hesitant or feel like the car was gasping for air :P

Hopefully I didnt do any major damage to the mentioned solenoid motor :oops: Although I must say the idle is a wee bit lumpy where you can notice
the rev counter needle slightly moving. Dunno if this is to do with the TB?

Good news, for further reference to others I believe the car should be left in acc position for at least 15 mins

AND dont move the butterfly valve unless the solenoid motor is removed. But If it is me, I'd not move the butterfly valve ;)

Also benmkiv, is the rev needle moving a wee bit normal? I mean it only moves a few mm up and down during idle.

Hard to tell. I never paid attention as long as it's not up and down by a couple hundred should think it'd be ok mate the reason we did the TT was at idle it was pulsing between 800 and 1300rpm. if you have this problem never look in the Haynes manual fault finding you'll cack your pants "loss of compression on one or mew cylinders" xD
