changing rear pads on a 2007 GTi

Post by R16HNW »

i will be changing the rear pads on my gti at the weekend.

iv got some pads for it, they have wear indicators on them. should they have wear indicators on the rear pads?
im just wondering as the last time i got pads from this place they gave me the wrong ones even though i told them the registration of the car etc!

i just dont want to come to taking them off and have the wrong pads as they really need changing!

Thanks!

Some manufacturers do and some dont. the only way of truely knowing they are correct is taking your old ones off and matching up the shapes.

Dont forget the rear calipers wind back in they dont just compress. if you dont have the winding tool for it be prepared to struggle for a while with big grips.
