Hi, havin had the polo for 5 days now i still cant figure out the dash display.
The manual mentions settings nd a menu to change what is dispayed and how
But i cant seem to access it. Does anyone know if a menu is on the match model?
Two things i cant figure are.
1. When moving off odometer changes to current speed but in km's not mph. Setting?
2. Another dispay has mph in a circle top left,, 3dashes next to a mph display but this doesent
Change however i drive, it seems not to do anything.
Im pobably missin something simple lol

Dash computer help?
Re: Dash computer help?
I'm not familar with the MDI setup in the Polo Match but I can say the MPH display with 3 dashes is your average speed (in mph). On my SEL the digital speedo reads in km/h as well, as you don't have km/h displayed on the actual speedometer itself. Hope this helps.

Re: Dash computer help?
You'll need vagcom to change the km/h to mph. You have to set the region to austrailia in VCDS, then alter it on the MDI of the car afterwards.
Re: Dash computer help?
Thanks guys very helpful, my average speed never shows a reading in this case, weird.
Nmavs il try my dealer on fri and see how helpful they are. If i can get them to prog in australia can you tell me how to change the settings then. I find the manual unhelpful as it doesent state what menus my match has.
Up to now all i can do is reset the readings not change settings or displays if that makes sense.
Cheers steve.

Re: Dash computer help?
Well my gti has been sat in dealerships garage for the past 3 weeks pal, so i cant really remind myself how to go about doing it right now. You access the mdi settings by golding down the reset button on the underside of the right stalk, and you change the settings in there matey. Actually, if you have a little search around the forum am sure someones wrote a step by step guide matey.
