Re: my 18" rims fitted........
can you explain the 30et is that the width? inferior knowledge lol
Re: my 18" rims fitted........
the ET is how in and out the wheel stands out, so more the ET measures the more the rim stays in, example if i got a rim with ET of 20 it will stand out more then a rim of ET 35 so that way i dont need spacers, otherwise u will need spacers with a higher ET, thats why an original rim has an ET of normally 40 or 38 so u will need spacers to bring the wheel out, the lower the ET the better because u can always trim it to size.
the more the ET less meat there is on the rim to trim.
the more the ET less meat there is on the rim to trim.

The technical definition is that the et is the difference between the centre of the wheel and the hub face
Re: my 18" rims fitted........
sometimes technical def. dont explain the exact meaning and how it works

so high ET gives it a (--<>--) shape to the rim [tyres inwards],
and a low ET gives it a )--<>--( shape [tyres outwards]
Imagine --<>-- is the axel

the lower the et the more the rim sticks out, if u want a tyre to be more stretched u need more j
