Boot bolts

Hi,

To cut a long story short my mrs has a 9N3 she was at work and someone done a hit and run leaving it like this



So she bought new boot lid but I thought the bolts were torx bolts but turns out there not and there not normal... Anyone know what they are ?. I'm gonna change it over but would like to use the right tools so not to wear the bolts down.

Can anyone help I know the bolts are the same on the 6n2 as I checked on my car ?.

Are they spline rather than torx (twice as many grooves) ? I've never looked at them specifically, but know there're a lot of them lurking all over these cars!
