What do you consider a sensible price Sandy? I'm in the same boat. There's a nice 3 spoke leather steering wheel with orange stitching which was an optional extra on the 9n3. I want to get one (sub £100), but the cost of an airbag is shocking!

I have a Gti steering wheel brand spanking new but can't fit it as need an air-bag and am not willing to pay high end prices. I might be wrong but can I not buy the 3 spoke cover and transfer the internals over from mine ???? Don't see why not. May be somebody on here knows the ins and outs of air-bags.
