Forge intercooler

Post by duffman502 »

Hey everyone not been on for a while but i thought id update, il hopefully getting my fabia vrs intercooler next week (1.4tsi that is) forge say it will probably sell for around £600ish and il let you know the figures afterwards as they are planning to dyno it for me.

The reason i posted here however is that it will be the same intercooler as on the polo gti which is different to the ibiza as it is a different size and/or has different mounts etc according to forge.
good news for all those looking to go stage 2

What size inlet and outlets are the Forge ones compared to stock?

Is the Forge one the same thickness as the OEM one? - If so, then the Forge one is around 40% larger on volume looking at those pics. 8)

Nice bit of kit as usual! Just make sure they pressure test this one and show you the data. The forge intercooler for the last model polo GTI saw a pressure drop of 3 psi over the crappy stock side mount. I've seen the tests and was heartbroken considering I have one :|
