Cleaned it inside today, then it started raining before I could do the outside. Poor quality on my phone:

And this gadget arrived - 16 gig key shaped usb disk to load my music on to

Do the bottom grills come out without taking the bumper off? I don't want to pull anything too hard in case they crack or a clips breaks...

I'm blackening them up.

I think I broke every clip bar 2 or 3 :x

And anyway I had no suitable brush to rub it with it so it went straight back on. Have to figure out a way to stop it from waving about now.

One side is very loose so i might tack it in with something.

Also bought one of those small stubby aerials today and its hardly works, I can barely pick up any of my stations anymore. Not my day. :(

Also, has there been any other topics in here with guys modifying the same coloured Polo as mine? Had a look and couldn't find anyone.

...... Look at LowFoon's build thread, it is the same colour as yours and is amazing after all the work thats been done :-)

About the stubby ariel, mine is crap in certain places and works in others...... Just put a CD on lol

The whole bonnet and side panels are covered in white paint splatter, someone obviously painted a wall/house near the car and didn't cover it up. So I'm T-cutting today... it took me 10 minutes to do about 0.5% of the amount of paint on it  This is gonna take forever.

A quick update. I haven't had time to do much, but it's coming along. There's a few refurbs here and there but when all thats done it'll look quite sharp.

To do list:

- New plates (as you can see in the pic)
- Either refurb the wheels or find some alloys
- Refurb the hazy front headlight
- Try and remove the paint speckles on the bonnet, front bumper and side panels.
- Replace the aerial base
- Get the dent on the left hand rail (you can see in the far right of the second pic) which was struck by the previous owner
- Try and sort out the other scuffs and marks

If funds begin looking up in 2012 I'm thinking of going down the black/blue colour theme route.
