Timing Belt/Cambelt Replacement

Post by JangoJamie »

Alright guys, my cars mileage is 55k now and I don't really want to risk not changing the cambelt until 60k which is the recommended change date..

Went to VW and they said it was £160 including the special tools you need.

After VW I had a look around and went to GSF and they said it was £87 but it seems quite cheap and not sure if that includes the tools I need.

Anyone got any recommendations?

May try edition

Always go for a genuine cam belt kit - GSF kits are rubbish

I find it odd that the VW dealer is willing to sell you the tool, and certainly at that price too - double check that.
