Afternoon all.
Went to start the car this morning and the radiator fan came on straight away. Looked in the car and the AC switch was light up, pressed it a couple of times to turn it off but it wont turn off even though the air con isn't/cannot be working.
A couple of weeks ago the car wouldn't drive, lost power and really blowing and spluttering and making really loud noises. Had a look under the bonnet and noticed that the air con pipe down the bottom left of the engine bay was split (blown apart more like it) and spewing out gas, so i unplugged it and it drove fine. Lost AC but oh well it was drivable. Now this has happened this morning.
Does anyone have any suggestions.

You need to get the AC recharged after getting the pipe replaced. That should fix the problem.

I've been looking for the replacement pipe but can find them on the normal websites like GSF. Also, i need to know what caused the pipe to blow in the 1st place as its happened once it may happen again if its a blockage etc. Last thing i want is to replace the pipe (will prob need to be done professionally as its air con and needs proper sealing) get the air con re-gassed and then the pipe go again.

The re - gassing has a 12 months warranty anyway, so if it leaks or disappears, they would refill it for free.
