Fuel light fun
Am I right in thinking the fuel light comes on at 50miles left in the tank and should remain on with warnings all the way till the range runs out ?

Re: Fuel light fun
My lights comes on at 35 miles
Got it down to 10mi on the range and filled up with 53 litres!
Fuel light fun
How strange I'm sure mine use to at 50 when I had work done the car came back with 15miles left but even at this point I had no fuel light on an it took 67quid to fill it up
I'm wondering if somethings broken turned off or changed via vcds
At 15miles I'd hope to see some warning

Re: Fuel light fun
It depends how much fuel is in the tank, believe it or believe it not. Once it hits the threshold for the light it will come on. The range left when it comes up is affected by your driving style and your current MPG.

Fuel light fun
Think this is the same with most vw like my 6n2 the official number is 7litrse when the light comes on but obviously with a tank sensor it depends if you're going down hill say and the sensors at the front of the tank it will stay off longer if yu get what I mean

Re: Fuel light fun
Mostly with the second part,
looking back now i'd rather have saved my 20k and bought a late 90's or early 200's "hot hatch" and spent money fixing bits when the wear out / break and adding a few performance tweaks.
I think a Peugeot 306 GTi6 or a Clio 182 would be been arguably more "fun"
