Well had the polo a minth now and finally decided to do it...
A hairdryer some masking tape and a knife and 5mins later ive debadged the tailgate...sweet.
Warmed up the badges protected paint and carefully lifted them off. Some swift super resin to lift the remnants and jos a good un.
Id recomend to all unless you have a gti lol

My 1st MOD......
My 1st MOD......
I've rebadged mine I've added a polo to the right hand side of my boot
Re: My 1st MOD......
I debated leaving mine debadged .....until I put the RED badge up to see what it looked like against the black.
Like you say though Debadge unless GTI.

Re: My 1st MOD......
But then you get all the non knowledgeable people thinking your Polo TSI is a Polo S 1.2(60). No tar... think i'll leave my badge onHurdy wrote:Like you say though Debadge unless GTI.
Re: My 1st MOD......
Do i detect some TSI snobbery ???
No offence taken lol
I removed mine for asthetic purposes not because is a 1.2 (60)

Re: My 1st MOD......
Sorry if it came across that way! The point I was making, is the only difference between my Polo TSI and the basic model Polo, is the badge and the Boavista alloys. If i debadged it fully, then it could potenially be a 1.2 S with Boavista replicas. Maybe i'm looking too far into it (as usual) but to be on the safe side i'll keep them onSpcvw wrote:Do i detect some TSI snobbery ???No offence taken lol

Re: My 1st MOD......
Lol no offence taken AJ,
If we all did he same thing modding would be boring. I used to own a mk2 golf i used to show and i removed more than i put on for the clean look, then you get the purists saying its not original. I cant see me doin to much to it as. Think VW got it pretty right. Would like oem alloys if a set came up
