OK guys after some advice really from people that have had 16" Rims. I love the way the 16's look on a 6n2 but I dont want to slow it down too much or have a really harsh ride. I had 20's on my AMG on 25 profile tyres and although they looked nice, I hated driving it as any little bump in the road shook the whole car, so I ended up going back to 18's.
Im thinking of 16's with a 40 profile tyre. The car isnt lowered at the moment but probably next spring will be dropping 40mm, no more. I want it to handle better but not at the expense of comfort. If its going to be too hard a ride or have a massive effect on speed and fuel encomony I'll stick to 15's as this is my daily comuting car.

ive had 16 borbets on 45 profile and not lowerd the ride was uncomfy compared to the 15s i have now also 45 profile on coilovers.
also careful with the offset, 16s i had were et20 and used to hit my rear arch over bumps or if i had 2 people in the back.
