removal of bumper strips on actual bumper

hey guys just a quick question. I know that when removing the bumper strips on the actual body work on an mk5 (6n2) holes are visible. But what about on the bumber? Any holes?

if you remove them there are holes and there is a 'trench' where they were, youy would need to smooth the lot over.
