Thanks for points this out.RUM4MO wrote:9N3 Turbo, looking at these pictures, it seems that you have a problem with the rear brake assemblies on your car, that equaliser bar should not be tilted to one side if both callipers are working correctly - maybe you should consider doing the "SHARAN return spring" mod.
It's due to something i did when changing the pads.
I am in the process of changing to 256mm rears which will sort it all out.

Ah, I see, I fitted external return springs to my wife's Polo 9N years ago after getting fed up with frequently needing to "re-zero" the O/S calliper piston to stop that side from dragging a bit. If you have not fitted external return springs to your car, then maybe consider doing that, I'd think if you look under the car with the handbrake lever fully "off" - you will find that one of the levers (on the rear callipers) is not sitting back on its stop - they should both rest on their stops when the handbrake is "off". The only "downside" to doing this mod is that unless you are stationary on proper level ground, then the car will move if the handbrake is not on - but that is how things are meant to be, ie low drag = better performance!
I've always wanted to fit an arm rest, but its wife's car and she does not want anything in her way! (I did fit a cubby box to it when it was only one year old - and she does not like that either - "now I've lost a place to put things in!" - also she did not notice the sun glasses holder that I fitted for my sun glasses!)
