Steam..A lot of it!

Post by Joz »

Okeei, I have got no clue what just happend;

My gti was just standing in someone driveway, its a bit steep if that matters, and suddenly while idling it came a "poooooof" and a lot of steam came out from under the bonnet.
I rekon it was the G12 coolant, since it was some liquid around it afterwards. The car was fine.. I drove it for like 2 more hours, just refilling a bit of coolant seemed to do the trick.

Why did it happen? Should I take it to a mechanic?

Cheers guys!

Well, not fixed, more figured out :p

The fans, yes both, don't turn at all. After a drive with aircon on, nothing..

Where can I check if they are unplugged? And anything else I can look for?
