Re: Can't wait to get one!
I'm not buying a brand new car of course, it will be a second hand car. I appreciate all the info you lot gave me and I will consider maybe changing to a different car but there is not really any cars at the market now that I really like. I dont really see how insurance for a 1.2 70ps not TSI can be expensive
my mum will be named driver as well so maybe that will bring it down? But anyways, thanks for all of your informations, it was useful.

Go onto autotrader find a reg on a 1.2 S then go to compare the market and stick in your details, change your age so you'll be 17 and then see what quotes you get then you will know, rather than guessing it won't be that bad, you'll have a quote in less time than you have spent looking for wheels!
Re: Can't wait to get one!
My first car when I was 17 was a Polo Match 1.2 (70). I didn't have any no claims but was appreciative of a good postcode. My first year cost me £2800. I do believe premiums in general have increased in the last 5 years, so I can't see you getting much change out of 3,000 of the queen's finest.

Re: Can't wait to get one!
I don't spend a lot of time searching for wheels lol and I went on autotrader to look for other cars like the Renault clio for example but their insurance group is 4 (based on 1.2l 100h engine) but the polo 1.2 70ps is in group 3.
Anyways, I will continue looking for a car after January exams.
But for now, Polo is still on the top of the list.
