Can get pictures if needed but:
There's a screw hidden on the B pillar behind the seat belts - undo that.
Remove the rear seat swabs - lift forwards and push to two bars towards each other. Lean the seat backs forwards. You'll now see the 'door card' when it runs up the seat backs. On that there should be a strange round thing with two indents in. Unscrew it - I managed it easily enough just using my fingers. It's now just held in by some clips which will need undoing. I just gave it a good yank and they came free. Getting it out of the car is a massive pain due to the speakers, some massive plastic clip thing, and a big block of foam to stop vibrations. Then threading it past the seat backs and rear seat belt are something else to fight.
Getting it back in is a bit of a pain too, as it trying to get it to clip back into place properly along the window line.
Done it about 3 times now and hated it every one of them!
Oh, if it's the drivers side, don't pull it too far until you've undone the plug for the alarm disabling button (there might be something on the passenger side but I think it's wire free).
What's up that it needs removing for?

No worries.
While it's apart - it might be worth checking this joint in the rear washer system - mine burst, and I had to remove the entire interior to get the carpet/underlay out and dried! The joy of cold weather and no anti-freeze!

Passenger side - the black 'u' bolt thing is where the seat clasp onto.
Oh, it might be easier to remove the shelves the parcel shelf sits in too - just a couple of torx bolts and a wire to remove for the power socket.

I'd remove it - you spend a lot of time rolling around in the boot fighting the door card!
Not really an RCA, just cheap speaker cable that was hooked up to some 6x9s that were in the car when I got it. They were just tapped into the main rear speaker feed, but aren't in use now. Is my car though.
Other thing I meant too add - the bolt that the rear seat backs hook onto, the one in the picture, that needs removing too.
That sub is huuuuge - doubt I could even of got something that big into my old RX-8!

Yea it is a 15"
Its quite nicely set up so everything sounds crisp and warm but not too deep and chavvy !!!
