Anyone got any clue why my electric mirrors don't heat up or move any more ?. The knob doesn't light up either :-/. The fuse hasn't gone as I checked that already ?.

Got me a bit stumped !.

When you open your door, check the wiring inside that little rubber thingy in between the door and the body. In my old polo, some of the wires split somehow and i ended up buying a new window regulator because i didnt knw before. Just a thought :)

A little something like...

Image

Lol. Fixed that with a bridge and a straight through connector.

Image

That resulted in my window working again after a year and a half...

Anyway window still has a slight issue it seems it's off a runner or a runner has snapped as it will go down fine no problems at all but coming up its like it has uneven pressure and catches at the side furthest away from the wing mirror. And goes back down the passenger side does it as well. So il look into a fix for that when it's not freezing.

But as for the wing mirror issue it simply wasn't plugged into the back of the door card I must have forgot last time I took it off

you're welcome buddy! :D

in regards to the window not cmin up, i think it may jus be the little plastic bit that clips into your regulator (which helps hold the glass has either snapped or come loose). Thats wt it sounds like based on wht you mentioned above. hope this helps....

Right so my plans for this year are sort of underway no massive changes but here goes

Fit the GTI spoiler (I've already started prepping this so shouldn't be too long)

New front bumper with GTI splitter (picking the splitter up tonight)

Smooth the front bumper, had a word with a mate and agreed a price

later in the year sort out the seats (still holding out for replacement red match seats)

Lower the front by an inch or so,

Perm fix the window cache,

And maybe spacers.

Done ski !.

right so i have got underway with finalizing my car...

heres the spoiler weve all seen them... not gonna go into depths with it,

Image

Image

im currently in the middle of getting whatever that black sticky crap around all the edge is off and then i shall be using tiger seal and bonding it to the car :)

ive aquired this...

Image

so gonna learn to machine polish :D although i know these can ruin your paintwork very easily as its a circular motion one and not the figure of 8 kind so maybe will get a scrap bonnet or something and practice on that.

and todays purchase is this...

Image

GTI splitter !

some slight scuffing from the previous owner

Image

wont be fitted though until i have a smooth front bumper and it will be color coded so the scuffing isn't a problem as it will be sanded down

will also get my handles sprayed properly as the halfrauds red was tooo dark which is why i never fitted them then il be keyless

and some snow pics only taken on an iPhone

Re: Big Red shall i splitter in half :-)

You getting the bodyshop to do the handles and splotter at the same time?

And I would ditch the tow strap aswell, i had one and I liked it for a while but I think it is pretty naff now....

Once your splitter is on it will look mean..
