Goodbye Polo!

Post by Petrified »

Due to the forces of nature and my lucky Kodama...

The plan is to sell the Polo this weekend and pick up a new Civic Type R.

It's come as a bit of a shock because I was told there is a 6 month waiting list. I was tempted by the Polo GT but for the same kind of money you can get a CTR if you shop around.

I'll miss the polo but I'll still be hanging around here! May have some news on a mk3 towards the end of the year

Gotta say though I've been de-modding my car and amazed by how many things i've added, shame none of them will fit the new car.

I'll be putting some things up in the for sale section as soon as I get chance. Got a nice stealth shelf..

Anyway...

I'll be leaving some uk-polo forum flyers in strategic places hoping the new owner will come on here.

Well the Type-R is a very nice car. :)

The owners are just as passionate about the Civic, as we are the Polo. My brother has a Type-R and is a member of a fantastic forum. (Not as good as this one though)

Mate, It's a sad day but also a happy one (cos CTR's are ace!!)

Good luck with it... You go steady in it too! They've got just a tad more BHP than the Polo it's replacing!!

Oh, by the way, I forgot to give you any feedback on that Electronica CD you gave me...

[thumbsup] I really like it!

:D

Make sure you check back in here to tell us all how it's going.

I want something faster! Had it nearly 18months now and I get bored with having cars longer than that!!

brothers user name

I think his user name is Silkmeister.

I've met a couple of the other members and they're all pretty cool. Full of useful information too.

As for the CTR, i had the opportunity to drive my bro's for a few days, and holy sh#t...... they're quick. The Vtec sound is awesome.

Keep us informed on how you go on.

Absolutly nothing wrong with them!

When I bought my polo I was looking at a CTR but in no way could I afford it. Especially the insurance.

My insurnace has just come up for renewal and is half the price it was last year (being 25  ) and I've been saving up to move. Now moving is not going to cost as much as I thought and have a bit of spare cash.

Dealers usually quote '6 month' waiting list for a new CTR so I was going to put a deposit down, in 6 months my car would be 2 years old and finance paid off etc...

But after shopping around I've found a new one with money off, plus they have it now, so I couldn't resist.

So it's all down to me being a greedy boy and nothing with the polo :P

I've never had and dash rattles, creaking suspension or any of the problems I've seen on here. I was well happy with it. Hopefully the new owner will find the hidden uk-polo flyers and end up on here too.

Cheers Josh for the comments on the CD. I'll let you know when we plan our next move with releasing it.

And I will be hanging around for a while still.

James.

p.s. some people have 300bhp CTR plus NOS!!
