anyone running Yellow top Battery?

Post by v896 »

Hi all just wanted to ask if anyone is running a yellow top battery instead of the standard one?

The reason I ask is that I want to run one not for a sub or any sound or entertainment systems. Its for the locks i've had my car de barrelled as some prick keeps trying to open my car with a screw driver and it buggered up my barrels i got them removed but was advised by the mechanic that in cold weather if i needed to replace the battery i'd be screwed if i couldn't open the car bonnet if there as no barrels and if the locks froze in the cold weather.

I have been doing my research so i've got a volt meter installed and yellow top battery works up to -30 providing 12-14 volts on cold weather which make the electrics work in extreme. would anyone know what size i'd need 3.7 or 4.2?

nope that was buggered too cost £80 for one barrel to be replaced plus labour so i just paid to have them both removed i can only open my boot with my boot button on my key. Which is rather annoying but i admit its quite safe

looking back it was a stupid move but if i buy a yellow top it's an investment as i can use it in future cars.
