Yeah let us know what they say as the dealer i get my parts from said that if the part number has a 1 as in 8n1064200
(the 1= means left hand drive) if it had started 8n2 it would be rhd but that part number with a 2 dosnt exist as rhd pedals so 1=lhd 2=rhd
I think the ones that are for sale on e-bay by the german seller are genuine vw items as the company selling them are a vw dealer.
Thinking about getting a GTI grill for my Polo, but was gonna get the badge sprayed matt black... Has anyone heard of the gti bottom grill being sold anywhere cause I'd want the two grills to match yano?
EDIT: Had a chat with the master techy at local VW garage and 'most' of the VW brand has the antenna built into the back window - the aerial on the roof is for pure cosmetic reasons. He couldn't ensure this was the case for the Polo but simply informed me to unscrew mine and see what my radio reception is like. If there's no difference then it's clear the antenna is built into the rear window.
I'm going to give it a test later - if it is the case, i'll definatley be grabbing one of these and paying for it fitting when I get my next service:
Yeah there is no difference with reception because I havent had my ariel since october and have never had problems with the radio So that antenna could be a good idea! cheers!
Why put a bloomin aerial on the roof if it dosn't do anything? Surely for asthetics no aerial on the roof would be better. I noticed on the Bluemotion golf at work there is no roof aerial!
