Hose Direct Ltd! (Doncaster)

Post by bigdong101 »

Hello,
Just wondering if anyone has dealt with this company recently, they specialise in all types of hoses (including cars ones and silicone kits) and fittings and I only bought a single part from them but communication and service has been non-existant so far! I cannot tell if it really did take a month for them to recieve my cheque but it finally got cashed a month later after I sent it and now they are not returning my calls...
Any pointers on telling what is happening with a company that is being 'difficult'?!
Advice much appreciated, including where I could go to get a silicone 90 degree reducing elbow!
Cheers, Jamie.

Yeah, definately contact the Trading Standards Office, you need to contact the office closest to the location of the company you are to make a complaint about.

I had problems with a phone company in Scotland and thought that I would lose a hundred squid but decided to contact the TSO, they had actually had several complaints about the company already but had been promised by the company director that he will make the payments owed to me...sure enough a week later a cheque arrived in the post.

It could a simply thing, in my case the company had said that they were having problems with the bank (as the payments owed to me should be paid by standing order).

Give them hell, as a consumer we have rights!

Sound! Many thanks for all the advice, I'll have a hunt for the address of the Trading Standard Office near to Doncaster!
The last time I got hold of them was by leaving an answerphone message and then they rang back the following day to say that my goods were being made, three days later the cheque was cashed.
I've picked SFS hoses since they're a bit closer and my friends have had succesful dealings with them!
Many thanks again, regards Jay
