Knocking Noise (New Sound Clip!!)

Hi mate,
I suffered for ages with a rattling noise, it drove me nuts !!!

It went to the garage twice, but they couldn't find anything wrong. Eventually I had a play with the exhaust heat shield and cable tied a couple of cable together that were flapping around it it seems to have stopped !!!!

Been to VW today, went on a road test with a master tech, but as usual, no noise even though it was happening on the way...
He listened to the recording on my phone but said its hard to pinpoint where the noise is coming from off a recording so he needs to hear it!
Told me to come back when I hear it again

New recording...
The noise has now changed and its even louder, so it must be getting worse.

Rattling fuel line. I experience this problem. It occurs when i'm at a standstill and sometimes when I start the vehicle when it's cold. I've never noticed it when it's not below 5 degrees outside, whether this is related or not i've no idea.

You have the same noise as my recording? Damp weather? Speed bumps?

I think the noise mentioned on that forum would of been fixed before 11/12 reg

Rattle of vibration? I have this when I first start up at standstill.

Yeah from what i've read on multiple forums, it seems like a rattling fuel line. I know a few guys who have had work done on this and the rattle disappears!
