Whistling when driving
Whistling when driving
I just noticed when driving to work that i can hear a whistling when driving maybe from the front? Do any of you guys get it?
Re: Whistling when driving
I do with the hybrid turbo.
If you have a supercharger it could be that as I did sometimes hear it at lower revs

Hahaha Supercharger and turbo i wish
Just a 1.4 16 valve
Re: Whistling when driving
Could be the mice powering the engine then
Only kidding. Could be the intake box.

I am going to see if i can hear it on my way home from work at 8.00pm
It's not really loud you can just hear it now and again, Like the knock noise then i go over a bump only does it on certain bumps, Thought it may of been the false floor in the boot jumping but i took it out to see but not that one may take the one over the spare wheel out and see if that stops it? Don't fancy taking it back after 1 week but if needs must that's where i will be.
Re: Whistling when driving
I think i may of worked out what is causing my knock noise! It is the rear board in the boot covering the spare wheel. I have it wedged up at the moment with a towel and i didn't hear it this morning
Will see if it is there tonight as the road is a bit more bumpy on the way home. If it has gone i will do my own mod to quietien it for good.

Loving all this dry weather lately, noise free

Well the knock is still there. But now im doubting myself with the noise. As in is it just noise that you all have, Only happens when top surface of tarmac is missing so it is lower than the normal surface, So the wheel will drop slightly then down the dip then level off agian when out of the dip, It happens at 40mph and above

Wait, potholes? Sorry if I've misinterpreted but I'm not surprised its knocking if you're hitting big potholes at 40+mph. Probably the suspension dropping and compressing up to the stops... I've buckled alloys hitting them at lower speeds than that mate. You're certainly braver than I am!CANDYMAN wrote:Well the knock is still there. But now im doubting myself with the noise. I try and avoid them but the dual carriageway looks like it's just been delivered from afganistan
I have put numerous complaints to the council but i take it they aint ar$ed. Well they will be when i put a claim in for damage or god forbid a motorcyclist comes off and
