LED BULBS FOR LICENCE PLATE
Anyone know if it is possible to replace only the bulb in the standard licence plate light, with a LED blub. This would mean the unit would be the same just a different bulb.
Its my dad's idea and he is adamant it would work, but if im being honest, i think he's finally losing his marbles. Any ideas ?

Fantastic !! Thanks for that, its quite a lot cheaper to just buy the bulbs
seems like i owe my dad an apology
. Do you know how easy it is to do, and whether it throws on the bulb warning light.
Thanks for your help

Some people are driving with these over here, no problems with warnings. It's super easy. The licenceplate light modules are ,,clicked'' in the bumper. They come out very easy! The Sheriff wrote:Fantastic !! Thanks for that, its quite a lot cheaper to just buy the bulbsseems like i owe my dad an apology

R-dash sells complete modules that are very bright, you will get something like this then:

But that will be a lot more expensive.

Re: LED BULBS FOR LICENCE PLATE
thanks mate. tbh if i can get the same effect by just changing the bulbs i might just do that instead of buying the whole unit. The bulbs are only like £8 and you get the same effect, but then again the item you showed me is only £28 and its from the uk, so im tempted. im guessing they are just plug in and go ? Are you happy with the light output ?Boyracer_2011 wrote:These are the ones iv got mate... Looks so much better then the original light like![]()

doesnt seem like a lot but the £20 saved if i get the bulbs pays two thirds of the price for the pressed plates !
