My polo 9n3 GTI was running Revo stage 2, forge fmic, forge tip, forge dv, 4 bar fpr, panel filter and milltek turbo back exhaust and it achieved 220 bhp & 286 ft/lb on MRC tuning rolling road. Quarter mile time 14.8 @ 95mph
Then I changed the panel filter to a K&N 57i induction kit, straight away noticed a big difference! Quarte mile time was 14.2 @ 99mph and it achieved 239 bhp & 295 ft/lb on Amd's rolling road. That was February 11th this year, so very recent.
Then today I went along with my friend to a rolling road day at jamsport (ford tuning) and it put out 219bhp & 261 ft/lb! WTF??!! They said Amd's rolling road is totally wrong and it really ticked me off seeing these crappy results! My car feels strong as ever and pulls like it has around 240bhp IMO.
Please Share with me your dealings with rolling roads and opinions on this!

Re: Rolling road opinions please!
all rolling roads are different in general anyway, you'll never get the same result twice! thats even on the same rolling road!
air temp, intake temp, ambient temp, temp correction...etc everything around the car has something to do with the result
best thing is to take it with a pinch of salt!.... or get it fully blueprinted on a engine dyno for true power figures... but no point in that really lol

Cheers bud!
Yer I've thought bout it quite a bit and like u say it's best to take with a pinch of salt. Im more than happy with the cars performance and it surprises a lot of people including myself sometimes lol jamsport said Amd always add 30bhp on there rolling road, which I think is total nonsense! Just ticked me off tbh

Re: Rolling road opinions please!
Afraid to say it but amd rollers are wrong. If u want a pretty accurate roller r tech are the ones.
Amd add ur biggest power loss to your peak power even if they don't match in the rev range.
I.e peak power at 6.5k of 195 at wheels
But power loss of 30 at 7.2k rpm
If you get what I mean I had the same sort of thing with them. Then was shown that they had used the wrong gear ratio in the computer which gave in accurate reading

Yer I aint a big fan of Amd myself, I was in Southend and I thought I'd av a quick rolling road session. I'm gonna go back to MRC for a rolling road
I got good peak power from Amd and it seemed like it was right, I really don't think jamsports rolling road was right! It feels more than 219, and Revo stage 2 always gets around 240.
Might give rtech a go if I'm in there area

Re: Rolling road opinions please!
The best dyno and this is a worldwide dyno at that is the BUTT dyno
- as long as that dyno is happy i wouldn't worry about the others

I think he can put launch control on too
Re: Rolling road opinions please!
finally got mine mapped today, but i only got around 220 bhp because i was running a panel filter, going to get it checked again when i get a cone filter they reckon it will give me an extra 15bhp
