You can order it online or pick one up from your local Audi dealer for about 38 quid. There roughly the same price online as to what you can get them for from a dealer so i'd advise you to nip in and get one. Piece of p*** to fit, line it up and slide it on. There's a mechanism inside which allows you to push it on but not pull it off, 10 second job.
Audi Part No: 8P0071771
What's the differance between 8P0071771 And 8P0071761 as when i looked on e-bay for the 1st number it says for 74mm pipe. yet the photo on here of the part number Shows 8P0071761 Which one should i get?

cheers
Hi mate, i've had it on the car for about 6 months and there's no corrosion whatsoever, even through the harsh weather we've just had. There does tend to be a build up on black sooty material on the inside of the exhaust but that's not to do with the exhaust trim itself, I clean the car twice weekly and it comes up like new everytime
Can someone do me a favour check their exhaust trim for me? I got one from Audi, the box says part number 8P0 071 771 which is correct, but the exhaust piece itself has part number 8P0 253 825 stamped on it. I mean, it looks right... 65mm inside diameter, just wondered why the part number on the pipe is different to the box

They are the same exhaust trim, except the 8P0 253 825 part number is the one given to a car with a double exhaust. Both 8P0 071 771 and 8P0 253 825 are the same part, just depends on whether they are sold as doubles/singles
I talked to a dealer recently about the gti exhaust he told me that twin pipe should fit on sts polo and will cost around 120 Euro + fitting.
if anyone is interested =)
