VW Volkswagen MONTREAL 16 inch wheels

I might have made a big mistake. Some of the users of this forum have posted the pictures of their beautiful cars (vw polo 9n).On those photos I saw a few with the Volkswagen MONTREAL 16 inch wheels on. So I started to look for those alloys wheel and I found them and bought them for 200 pound. The wheels came with 205/55/R16, my question is, do I need to replace them ? The tyres are nearly brand new and I already blow my budget. If the tyres are not right can I still drive my car without causing any damage to the car itself? Before installing the wheel do I need to do any preparation?

Hi bud, nice choice, Monty 2's are great.
205/55/16 are the Golf size, which you can run but they will rub on the inner arches of the front and effect your speedo reading.
VW specify 205/45/16 for the Polo.
